Opening our programme in true Jiyane-fashion, we had the honour to work together in a number of ways: Malcolm Xorile Jiyane, living at the Sophiatown Arts Akademy for three months, created a synaesthetic approach to his working theme: True Stories. In both sound and image he captured the complexity of the Brixton streets. 

Malcolm Jiyane also worked with the children of St Mary's Childrens Home in Rosettenville/Johannesburg, in our beginning mobile music akademy. More to come!

We love! Also, we love to have opened our residency programme with a father-in-residence, teaching us lessons about what it needs to be a child-friendly space. We're growing because of you, siyabonga, Sierra-Leone!
